Kai Taschner is a native German voice talent. He is known not least as the telephone voice of the killer in SCREAM. However, it all began quite quite so harmlessly: As the child of two film editors, he was practically born into the profession. At the age of 13 Kai stood in a dubbing studio for the first time and was "discovered" there by an agent for children. Soon after, he acted in various film and television productions such as "Stunde Null" by Edgar Reitz, "Hanno Buddenbrook" in the 11-part TV series "Die Buddenbrooks", as well as "Balthasar Vierling" in H. W. Geissendörfer's "Theodor Chindler". He also appeared in "Kommissar" and "Tatort". In 1984 he began working as a theatre actor in the independent Munich scene, and two years later he put on a Black British comedy show - loosely based on Marty Feldman - entitled "Toter Wüst-ling in passender Schachtel".  From 1992 onwards he frequently directed at the “Blutenburg Theater" in Munich or the "Torturm Theater" in Sommerhausen. In 2013 he set up his solo electro-cabaret: "Der Klangmull". Since 1988 he has been a dubbing artist and lent his voice to Philip Seymour Hoffman as Scotty J. in “Boogie Nights", Warwick Davis as Griphook in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! (parts 1 and 2) as well as in the series “Leprechaun". But also Martin Lawrence, Jim Jarmush, Alan Cumming, Peter Dinklage,Tony Shalhoub, Luis Guzman, Rob Schneider, Michael Palin and many others had the pleasure of his dubbing. His most popular trick voices include Pumuckl in "Pumuckl and his Circus Adventure," Prof. Frink since 2007 and Mr. Burns in "The Simpsons" since 2015, Wooly Sockbeard in "Drawn Together" and Rick Sanchez in "Rick and Morty". He also voices radio and TV commercials for well-known brands, as well as documentaries, games (Handsome Jack in the "Borderlands" series, as well as Jim Raynor in "Starcraft"), audio books and radio plays and was stationvoice for "Das Vierte" from 2005 to 2013. Almost at the same time, he started as a dialogue writer for German dubbing productions, where he also passionately enjoys directing.
