Thomas is a German actor, voice talent, and comedian. Initially working as a pastry cook, the Leipzig native discovered his true talents and moved to Berlin to study acting at the Ernst Busch University of Drama. He remained there and performed on various stages in the 1990s, including the Berliner Ensemble, BAT, Theater unterm Dach, and the Grips-Theater. Since 1994, he has been working as a freelance comedian, focusing mainly on parodies and music. Although Thomas primarily targets an adult audience in his comedy programs, he also captivates the youngest listeners. His own spoken and sung fairy tale audiobooks, which he narrates and sings, are widely popular among children and can be heard in many children's rooms. In the "Captain Sharky" audio plays, he lends his voice to the ship rat "PiRatte." Meanwhile, he takes on the roles of not only the primary voice of the ship rat, but also the author, director, and producer. In 2022, he was honored with the German Record Critics' Award for the audiobook "The Language Cutter." Known as the "Man of a Thousand Voices," he is also involved in dubbing, audio guides, and advertising alongside audiobooks and audio plays.
