Benoit is an opera singer and native French-canadian and English voice talent from Canada. Born in Montréal, he sang as a child in the boys' choir of his parish. After graduating with a degree in business administration, he first worked as a manager in Canada for several years before beginning his music studies at the State University of New York at Buffalo and McGill University in Montréal, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in solo singing as a bass-baritone. Further studies in vocals and opera took Benoit to Europe several times. He participated in summer courses in Salzburg and was at the Sommer Lied Weinberg and Sommer Lied Freistadt, where he worked with Roger Vignoles on his song interpretation. He gained his first stage experience as Leporello in "Don Giovanni", as Zuniga in "Carmen and Crespel", as Luther and Schlemihl in "The Tales of Hoffman", at the Comic Chamber Opera in Munich. In 2005, Benoit moved permanently to Europe and, in addition to countless appearances as a baritone, made his long-awaited debut as Don Giovanni in Berlin in February 2015. In 2016, he toured Austria and Germany with the musical in the role of the pilot and narrator and has received only the best reviews. His performances take him again and again through Europe, but also to his homeland in Canada. After a, not only for him, very hard Corona stage abstinence he is happy to be back on tour. He also uses his impressive voice for voice-overs, dubbing and commercials.
