Charles Rettinghaus is a voice talent (over 1,000 roles) and actor. He completed his training in acting and musical theater at the Margot Höpfner Acting School in Hamburg. As an actor, he has appeared in both television and film, including Tatort, GZSZ, Pastewka, Radio Silence, Gefällt mir, and Die Boten des Todes. He has received multiple awards for his acting, including Best Supporting Actor at the LA Reel Film Festival 2011 and the LA Cinema Festival of Hollywood 2010. As a voice actor, he became well known for dubbing LeVar Burton (Geordi La Forge) in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Today, he is the regular German voice of Robert Downey Jr., Matt Dillon, Jamie Foxx, Dermot Mulroney, Jeremy Piven, Jimmy Smits, Jean Claude Van Damme, and Billy Zane. He also lends his voice to audiobooks and commercials.
