Freya is a Danish-British voice talent with a remarkable sense for mood and emotion – something she brings to life in commercials, video games, mobile apps, documentaries and image films in both English and Danish. Born and raised in Copenhagen, she trained at the East 15 Acting School in London and lived in the city for a decade. Her passion for the English language, theatre and culture has been with her for as long as she can remember. With strong ties to both London and Copenhagen, Freya enjoys the best of two creative worlds. Her voice moves effortlessly between natural, joyful and sensual tones for commercial work, and more poetic, dramatic styles for games, documentaries and artistic projects. Her range and sensitivity have earned her multiple awards – including a Voice Arts Award in New York for her role as a vampire in the video game Bloodlines 2, and four Telly Awards. In 2023, she was shortlisted at the UK Radio Drama Festival for a Sylvia Plath-inspired radio play. She also appears as the voice of a dramatic monologue on Swedish rock band Nestor’s Grammy-nominated album Teenage Rebel, and since 2025 she’s been voicing promos for the BBC. Freya fell in love with audio as a child – recording bedtime stories for her younger siblings as a teen. To this day, she believes in the unique intimacy and emotional power of voice.
