Göksen is a German-Turkish voice artist and actress. Born in Nuremberg as the daughter of Turkish parents, she completed her studies in Munich at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding in the Musical Department. After her graduation she was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Stadttheater in Hildesheim. Since 2008 she has been working as an actress, director, author, acting teacher, psychodrama director and voice artist in Berlin. At the Atze Musiktheater in Berlin several productions have been and are still being shown under her direction, for which she also wrote the book. Among others "The Chicken Opera" and "Malala". Some of her productions have been nominated and awarded for the Ikarus - Theatre Award for outstanding children and youth theatre. For example "Das doppelte Lottchen" was nominated in 2014, "Malala" followed in 2018 and "Die Hühneroper" was awarded with the Ikarus Theatre Prize in 2018. She also works as a freelance director and author for the home port of Neukölln. She describes herself as a Turkish Frankish woman who speaks High German. On request she also speaks Turkish and Franconian - fluently.
