Inga is a native German voice talent. She lives and works in Hamburg, bringing together Northern German pragmatism and Rhineland warmth. No surprise there: she originally comes from Cologne. Inga found her way into voice work through acting. Although, looking back, it probably started much earlier. As a child, she used to record radio commercials onto cassette tapes and was already certain that storytelling and the stage would somehow be part of her future. Ever since her first major role as The Very Hungry Caterpillar in kindergarten, she knew drama school was the path she wanted to take. Until then, she filled her time with everything connected to stories, voices and expression: theatre groups, acting classes, countless films (especially 90s romcoms), books, and even a year abroad in California, including performing in theatre productions. She also desperately wanted Julia Roberts’ hairstyle at the time (with rather mixed results). During her acting training, Inga discovered just how much she loved working with voice, language and breath. Or, to put it differently: she discovered her inner phonetics nerd. To this day, she is fascinated by how the smallest nuance can completely shift a mood and why sometimes one very specific tone makes all the difference. What she loves most is working in the studio: searching together for exactly the right sound and experiencing that moment when suddenly everyone knows: Yes, that’s it. With great sensitivity, Inga quickly understands what clients, agencies and directors want to communicate and brings it to life with precision. Alongside voice work, Inga regularly appears on camera and has been teaching yoga for many years. To her, it all fits together surprisingly well – whether voice, acting or yoga, it ultimately comes down to presence, timing and empathy. Her mixed breed dog Logan, by the way, is equally sensitive when it comes to finding the right tone – he is only convinced by very particular voice colours.
