Johannes is a German actor and voice talent. Originally, Johannes trained as a theater painter, firmly convinced that one day he would make a living from painting. Today, he still paints professionally with passion – not with paint and brush, but, as he says, with his voice and words, and he loves creating worlds with his voice. After completing his training as a theater painter, he attended the Krauss Drama School in Vienna and, after graduating, worked for two years at theaters in Vienna. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, he joined the Schauspielhaus Chemnitz, followed by engagements at the Stadttheater Würzburg and the Staatstheater Darmstadt as well as various guest appearances. On film and television, he was seen for five years in the leading role of Dr. Kreutzer in the ARD series "In aller Freundschaft." He also appeared in numerous TV crime dramas, sometimes as a pimp, sometimes as an investigator, or a corrupt cop. As a voice artist, he has recorded more than 300 audiobooks, received three gold records, and was awarded the Hörkules Prize as Germany’s most popular narrator in 2012. His voice can also be heard in commercials, image films, trailers, documentaries and radio plays. Last but not least, Johannes regularly tours the country with readings.
