Mala is an Australian voice talent and actress with Indian roots, who has been living in Germany since 2007. From a young age, she loved storytelling and passionately directed small theatre performances with her siblings in the living room. Her journey as an actress started with a degree in Film and Media Communication from the University of Sydney, followed by completing her acting training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. She quickly became established in the British theatre scene, performing with prestigious companies like the Royal Shakespeare Company and the West Yorkshire Playhouse. In addition to acting, Mala has been involved in various facets of the film industry, including filmmaking (as a screenwriter, producer, and director) and serving as the director of the Down Under Berlin Film Festival. What truly drives Mala is the power of storytelling to touch hearts and transform thoughts, which is why she finds immense joy in participating in every phase of filmmaking. She is also an experienced voice artist and has contributed to numerous projects, including the podcast 'OzLänder - Aussie Creatives Living in Berlin', audiobooks, animations, film dubbing, and commercials. Mala shares her home in Berlin with her two teenage children, who make every day an adventure for her.
