Marianne is German British bilingual voice talent and actress. She grew up as a vicar’s daughter in Northern Germany, where she acted her way through nursery and school. Aged 17, she fell in love with an Englishman and followed him to London. Here she received a scholarship for her MA studies at The Central School of Speech and Drama. Subsequently, she acted in various off-theatre productions and landed her first big voice-over jobs for LEGO and the BBC Open University. She came to Berlin aged 26, became station voice for Nickelodeon Germany that same year and acted in various musical and theatre productions in English and German before being cast as Pierce Brosnan’s secretary Lucy in The Ghost and a witch killed by Sean Bean in Christopher Smith’s medieval thriller Blackdeath. Marianne Graffam particularly enjoys playing off-beat characters with a comedic touch. Her bilingual voice work portfolio has meanwhile expanded beyond her wildest dreams, whereas it is especially her sight-reading and intuitive character approach that seem to make her stand out.
