Nils is a German voice talent and actor. Born on the East Frisian border and raised in the Ammerland, he spent his youth passionately on the soccer fields in and around Oldenburg. After school and civilian service in Bremen, he pursued his acting studies at the HFF Potsdam Babelsberg. His acting career began on the stage of the barrack at the Deutsches Theater Berlin. Over the years, he has performed in theaters in Potsdam, Berlin, Hamburg, and Düsseldorf. Highlights include a tour of the USA with the German Theater Abroad and a warmly received return to the stage in Beelitz in the summer of 2022 in the production of "Jedermann." Since 1995, Nils has taken on various roles in cinema and TV productions, and from 2006 to 2020, he portrayed the forensic scientist Dr. Hildebrandt in the ZDF series "Der Kriminalist." Recently, he appeared in the international production "The Bends," shot in Berlin. Alongside his on-screen presence, Nils has lent his voice to over 60 audiobooks and worked as a voice actor for 15 years. In numerous cinema and TV productions and TV series, he has taken on dubbing roles, including voicing David Beckham in the Beckham documentary and Josh Lawson (as Roger Watson) in "True Spirit" (2023). His voice is also recognizable in advertising campaigns for well-known brands, described as dark, resonant, authoritative, and distinctive. Berlin has been his home for over 25 years, a place he fondly returns to when his acting adventures take him to other cities.
