Stephan Baumecker is a German actor and voiceover artist from Berlin. He studied acting at the Academy of Dramatic Arts "Ernst Busch". After graduation he was a permanent member of the ensemble of theaters such as the National Theater Weimar, the Schiller Theater Berlin, the Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Faust Ensemble and the Berliner Ensemble. He collaborated with renowned directors such as Leander Haußmann, Dimiter Gotscheff, Jürgen Kruse, Werner Schroeter, Peter Stein, Robert Wilson and Claus Peymann. Since 2006 Stephan Baumecker is freelance u.a. at the Volksbühne Berlin and at the Deutsche Oper. Stephan is also in action in front of the camera. He is seen in film and TV production such as Herr Lehmann, Hai-Alarm am Müggelsee, You Are Wanted, Tatort, Polizeiruf 110, SOKO Wismar and many others. As a voice actor he is heard in radio drama and audio book productions, he also speaks documentations and features like for ZDF, ARD, Arte, rbb, as well as advertising and dubbing. At the moment he is the current voice of the Sparkasse.
