Velia Krause is a German actress, singer, comedian, freelance chanson interpreter (with 16 solo programmes of her own), presenter and voice actor. She has been on stage for over 20 years and has appeared in many drama, musical and cabaret productions. Inspired by her mother, also an actress, she was already fascinated by the metier at the age of 9 and also wanted to delight and entertain people as an actress. The initial impulse for her career came at the age of 16 when she was chosen from among 450 girls for the youth leading role in the GDR television film "Das Graupenschlo├č". After her acting studies at the theater academy in Leipzig followed theater engagements in Eisleben and Wittenberg, where she was engaged in various roles and sections. From acting, musical, cabaret, night program and musical revue to operetta singer she was able to prove her versatility. As a voiceover artist she also serves various genres: She is a dubbing artist (e.g. in crime thrillers, cartoon productions, comedy's and series like "Emergency Room", "Dawson Creek", "Orange is the new black", "House of Lies" and "Breaking Bad"), a radio play narrator (e.g. "Benjamin Bl├╝mchen" or "Bella, Boss und Bulli") and was a news speaker. Her other fields of activity also include audio books, multimedia productions, landscape and city descriptions, radio advertising and voice over for TV documentaries and "geo-reportages". Her passion is and remains the diversity.
